  2. What you can study

  3. Getting in

International applicants should apply through VCU’s official admissions process and check the university website for the current requirements, deadlines, and document checklist. Confirm the level you are applying to, any English language requirements, and whether your chosen programme has extra steps.

  4. What it costs

VCU’s tuition fee for international students is not published in this summary, so confirm the current rate with the admissions office. Living costs in Richmond will depend on housing, transport, and personal spending, so budget separately for those expenses.

  5. Coming from abroad

VCU is in the United States and the teaching language is not stated in this summary, so confirm that on the official site before applying. If you are moving from abroad, check visa timing, proof of funds, housing options, health insurance, and any language or document requirements for your programme.

  6. How it compares

Among 2,515 universities in the United States, VCU stands out as a public research university with a broad programme offer rather than a small specialist institution. Its scale and the presence of many ranked programmes make it a practical choice for students who want range and a research setting.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
