University of Leicester President’s Scholarships in UK, 2017

University of Leicester is now accepting applications for 50 President’s postgraduate scholarships in 2017. This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based masters course starting in September or October.

University of Leicester’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.

The University was founded as Leicestershire and Rutland University College in 1921. The site for the university was donated by a local textile manufacturer, Thomas Fielding Johnson, in order to create a living memorial for those who lost their lives in First World War.

This scholarship is open to applicants who already have an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study for a Masters degree programme at the University.

Degree Level: This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based masters course starting in September or October.

Available Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the university, all offering a diverse range of courses.

Scholarship Benefits: The monetary amount of scholarship is £3,500.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: In order to study at the University of Leicester, written and spoken English must be good enough that applicants will fully understand, and benefit from, their degree course (please note that they have slightly different requirements for PhD students).  The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education. Every degree page on website specifies a minimum IELTS score.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post or electronically. Students who meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship but are unsuccessful with their application, will automatically be considered for the Head of College Scholarship Scheme. There is no need to make a separate application.
