University of Auckland Council is offering PhD Research Scholarships in New  Zealand. The scholarship is awarded in health-related area to study full-time  for a PhD research in University of Auckland. Research scholarships are open for  domestic students and domestic fee-paying international students. Three  scholarships are awarded for the duration of 36 months. Scholarship Description: The main purpose of the Scholarship  is to attract health professionals to return to the University to study  full-time for a PhD in a health-related area.

Duration of award(s): The duration of PhD research  scholarship is up to 36 months (see Regulation 8 and Note ii). Part-time  students shall be paid pro-rata for up to 72 months.

What does it cover? Each Scholarship will provide a tax-free  stipend of up to $40,000 per annum plus compulsory tuition fees and  international student health insurance (if applicable), for up to 36 months (see  Regulation 8 and Note ii). Part-time students shall be paid pro-rata for up to  72 months.

Selection Criteria: The basis of selection will be academic  merit, the proposed area of research, and the ability of the University to  provide adequate supervision and access to resources.
