University Canada West Vancouver Canada 150 Tuition Concession for the Armed Forces

University Canada West (UCW) entrance awards include the “CANADA 150 Tuition Concession for the Armed Forces.” It is available to new students approved for admission to UCW undergraduate or graduate programs. UCW states the concession is part of the CF One Member Appreciation Program, created to provide discounts to the Canadian Forces Community.

This award applies to the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, and Associate of Arts. UCW states it is open to domestic applicants who are active members, reservists, or veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) or CF One members. Students taking online programs are not eligible. Applicants with conditional offers are not eligible until they fulfill conditions for full (unconditional) admission.

UCW states recipients are expected to act as ambassadors for UCW and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives. UCW also states all awards are disbursed as tuition credit and that the concession will be applied as a discount to all courses within the program plan. UCW lists conditions including starting the program before the offer expires, not changing programs, paying fees not covered by the award by their due dates, and maintaining good academic standing and full-time enrollment; UCW states the award currently has no official end date.
