Éducation à l’enfance
Introduction
Éducation à l’enfance is a program taught at Cégep de Saint-Jérôme, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (Parcours intensif 2 ans) options.
Éducation à l’enfance is a Technique program where you contribute to creating an environment that supports learning through observation, planning, organization, and educational actions. You also work on building a good relationship with parents to intervene appropriately with children. As an early childhood education professional, you support children’s development in physical, psychomotor, cognitive, language, and socio-affective areas.
The program includes practical training with a kindergarten for observing children and practicing interventions, a materiathèque covering documents on childcare services, a laboratory for exercising creativity and approaches, and spaces for health, safety, and food, as well as a motricity room and a multifunctional classroom with a kitchen.
The 4th session focuses on studying ages 6–12 through exploration of the school environment. An international stay focused on the nature-based approach is offered, and an intensive 2-year pathway is available for applicants who have completed their general education.
