Bachelor of Engineering - Building Systems Engineering
Introduction
Bachelor of Engineering - Building Systems Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Conestoga College, Canada. Intake: August. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Conestoga College’s Bachelor of Engineering - Building Systems Engineering explores the present and future of modern buildings and their evolving operational systems. Students study specialized building automation, controls, thermodynamics, fluid and heat transfer, and design building mechanical, electrical and control systems to optimize energy performance. The program uses digital design and building information modelling (BIM) software and virtual tools to integrate sustainable elements, controls automation, and systems into new and existing buildings, communities and cities.
The program uses a project-based approach to solve real-world engineering problems and build project management, teamwork, and environmental protection skills. As projects become more complex, students work on residential, commercial, and industrial building design. Conestoga College’s Bachelor of Engineering - Building Systems Engineering strategically integrates twelve months of paid co-op opportunities with academic semesters, along with eight projects courses.
Conestoga College states the program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). Graduates may apply for a Professional Engineering Licence (P.Eng.) upon graduation. The program is delivered as a hybrid format and leads to a Bachelor of Engineering credential.
