Bachelor's in 3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery
Introduction
3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery is a Bachelor program taught at Dawson College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 years) options.
Dawson College’s 3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery program is a three-year technical program focused on digital animation and computer-generated imagery. Students study creative storytelling and character design, as well as visual effects and project management. The program includes work on advanced 3D software for animation, modeling characters, environments, and props, and staging action scenes.
The curriculum integrates a Motion Capture studio into the core curriculum, and students perform, create, and apply motion capture data to virtual characters. Students also work on narrative lighting and visual effects and build a foundation in both traditional and digital art. Learning is integrated into projects across courses and semesters, with a final thesis project using a cinematic narrative designed by the student.
Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in 3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery at Dawson College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Dawson College.
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Dawson College as pre-requiste for admission in 3D Animation and Computer Generated Imagery.
