Introduction
Associate of Arts Degree (Health Studies) is a Bachelor program taught at Northern Lights College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Northern Lights College offers the Associate of Arts Degree (Health Studies), a two-year introductory program for entry into health-related degree programs, with an emphasis on the University of Northern British Columbia’s Northern Baccalaureate Nursing Program. Students study arts and science topics while introducing nursing as a career and meeting UNBC core prerequisite requirements in social sciences, English, Indigenous studies, human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, psychology, and statistics.
The program is a two-year structure taken over four semesters with a minimum of 5 courses (15 credits) per semester. Students complete 62 credits (1102.5 hours), minimum. The program includes lab components for certain Biology classes, and certain courses may be available through video-conference and online.
