Introduction

International Relations is a Bachelor program taught at Redeemer College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Redeemer College offers International Relations as a Bachelor of Arts degree program offered as an emphasis within the Politics and International Studies program. It is an honours major. The program examines the role of governments and politics in the development of different cultures and societies across the world through an interdisciplinary approach to systemic issues, law, rights, peace and diplomacy.

International Relations includes the Core Curriculum, which is a set of 10 courses that every student takes. Students take International Relations courses and follow a course structure that includes classroom learning in Current Issues in Politics & International Studies, Christian political thought from Irenaeus to Grotius, and government responses through Public Policy. Beyond the classroom, students participate in a one-term internship in an occupational setting such as corporate, non-profit or governmental organizations.

Alumni of Redeemer’s International Relations program are making an impact in society and in their communities, including work connected to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and the Immigration and Refugee Board. The program prepares graduates for careers listed by Redeemer as lawyers, policy advisors, human resource specialists, policy analysts, politicians, strategic relations officers, campaign managers, and press secretaries.
