Introduction

Philosophy is a Bachelor program taught at Redeemer College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Redeemer College offers Philosophy as a Bachelor of Arts degree program, available as a major and as a minor. The program centers on questions about what is real, what we really know, what we should value, and how we should live. Students study subjects such as metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and aesthetics, through courses like The Story of Philosophy, Logic, Faith and Philosophy, and Asian Philosophy.

Redeemer’s Philosophy program brings students into deep discussions with peers, guided by experienced faculty. First-year classes survey fundamental metaphysical, epistemological, and ethical issues in seminar-style classes. Students also develop skills for composing written arguments. The program includes classroom study of ancient and modern thinkers, and beyond-the-classroom activities such as student-run philosophy groups like Kuyper’s Café and the Apologetics Club.

Graduates of Redeemer’s Philosophy program can move into careers as essayists and columnists, lawyers, public speakers, pastors, politicians, advocates, professors, and teachers. The program also supports further studies options listed by Redeemer.
