Introduction

Youth Ministry is a Bachelor program taught at Redeemer College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Redeemer College offers Youth Ministry as a Bachelor of Arts degree emphasis within the Mission and Ministry program. It is offered as an honours major. Students develop character and skills to mentor and influence youth through ministry, with a focus on discipleship, outreach and cultural engagement, alongside a foundational understanding of the Bible and an awareness of cultural formation.

The program is structured around a Core Curriculum of 10 courses taken by every student, woven through each major. First-year courses provide a broad overview of topics critical to youth ministry and Christian faith, with class discussions led by professors. The degree includes classroom courses such as Foundations of Mission and Ministry, Youth Culture and Spiritual Formation, Evangelism and Discipleship, plus campus ministries and experiential learning through volunteer opportunities and two internships.

Redeemer College lists alumni career roles that include chaplains, campus outreach leaders, missionaries, camp directors, teachers, youth pastors, drop-in centre directors, and activities coordinators. It also names further studies options, including Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theological Studies (MTS), MA in Youth Ministry, and other related graduate programs.
