Introduction

Master of Arts in Christian Studies is a Masters program taught at Regent College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (42 credit hours) options.

The Master of Arts in Christian Studies (MACS) at Regent College is an interdisciplinary graduate degree that invites students to explore ideas and perspectives from different theological fields. Students consider how these relate to their questions, context, and calling, studying Foundational Core courses and additional required courses across theological disciplines.

MACS requires 42 credit hours, with 12 credits of Foundational Core Courses and 15 credits across applied theology or marketplace theology, arts or interdisciplinary studies, history of Christianity, spiritual theology, and world Christianity. Students also complete general electives and a MACS Integrative Exam. The capstone is a take-home exam based on a set list of readings, taken at the end of Fall, Winter, or Summer term.

This program suits students who are seeking vocational discernment, spiritual formation, or renewed vision for a current career; preparing for church or parachurch work; or pursuing greater integration between faith and all of life. Regent College states that graduates enter church or parachurch work or return to a previous career with renewed vision.
