Master of Theology
Introduction
Master of Theology is a Masters program taught at Regent College, Canada. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (24 credit hours) options.
Regent College’s Master of Theology (ThM) is an advanced academic degree for focused theological engagement. Students take seminar-style classes in small cohorts and develop research, writing, and analytical skills. They can go deep with a topic or question connected to their own study goals, vocation, or ministry.
The program offers flexible options: a thesis track or a major paper track, each completed in the student’s area of concentration. Students complete required seminars, research methods and writing, and either a thesis or a supervised major paper with electives. Online learning is available for up to 6 credits, and the program uses faculty supervision matched to the chosen concentration.
Applicants typically include those preparing for a PhD, pastors seeking to build on their education or reflect theologically for ministry, and students preparing for a role where an advanced degree is of benefit.
