Master's in M2 Physics of Plasmas and Fusion
Introduction
M2 Physics of Plasmas and Fusion is a Masters program taught at Université Paris-Saclay, France. Intake: September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
M2 Physics of Plasmas and Fusion at Université Paris-Saclay provides general training in plasma physics with applications ranging from space to the laboratory. The curriculum combines a common core with optional thematic courses, covering topics such as natural plasmas (space plasmas and astrophysics), process plasmas (industrial plasmas), thermonuclear plasmas (magnetic or inertial fusion plasmas), and plasmas from laser–matter interactions.
Teaching is delivered through lectures and supervised studies, including directed study and practical class elements where listed in the programme structure. The optional thematic courses are followed by specialization courses, which connect to a research internship of 4–5 months. The internship can be completed in a research laboratory in France or abroad, in an academic environment, or with an industrial partner.
Modules
- Instrumentation, diagnostics et analyse des plasmas
