Führungskompetenz und Management im Spitzensport is a berufsbegleitend Master of Arts (M.A.) at Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln. The programme focuses on combining scientific knowledge with direct application in elite sport. Students study leadership, management, communication, and organisational development, with content from sport science, psychology, and management.

The course is structured as a hybrid model with mostly online teaching. A portion of the teaching is delivered through eight compact in-person weeks in Cologne. The programme uses practice-oriented teaching formats, small-group tutorials, individual advising, and exchange with experts from elite sport to support transfer into students’ working contexts.

It is intended for people with experience in elite sport who want to move toward leadership responsibility, for example as trainers, managers, or employees in sports organisations. The programme also addresses main-time trainers, staff in sports organisations, and (former) elite athletes, including students studying the transfer of knowledge across sports systems.

The minimum requirements for admission in Führungskompetenz und Management im Spitzensport at Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln as pre-requiste for admission in Führungskompetenz und Management im Spitzensport.
