Master's in Accounting, Controlling, Taxation
Introduction
Accounting, Controlling, Taxation is a Masters program taught at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Center for Advanced Studies (CAS), Germany. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1–2 years) options.
In the Master Accounting, Controlling, Taxation at DHBW CAS, students learn the instruments, mechanisms, and behaviours that arise in an information-based society. The curriculum develops subject knowledge in the programme modules, either by selecting modules fully within the degree programme or by spreading chosen modules across the three pillars A(ccounting), C(ontrolling), and T(axation).
The programme is modular and designed around individual module choices. Students plan their study plan before the start and keep working throughout the programme. DHBW CAS describes the example structure as an Auftakt-Workshop, 64 Präsenztage, and a test per module. Teaching uses multiple DHBW sites and also allows (parts of) courses online, with exam locations selected by students.
DHBW CAS positions the Master for young Bachelor graduates and for longer-term employees who want to build knowledge in internal and external business accounting and in business taxation. DHBW CAS also states that the programme supports career development in areas including Unternehmensrechnung und Finanzen, Unternehmensbesteuerung, Controlling, and Leitung von Unternehmen.
