Introduction

Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik is a Masters program taught at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Center for Advanced Studies (CAS), Germany. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1–2 years) options.

In the Master Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, DHBW CAS deepens students’ theoretical knowledge in electrical engineering. Students study topics such as mathematical methods of electrical engineering and applied field and potential theory, plus more specialized offerings such as Product Lifecycle Management in the electrical industry. The programme also includes units from electrical engineering application fields and freely selectable events from mechanical engineering, business, and computer science.

DHBW CAS describes the degree as a dual master programme with a high practice focus and an intensive theory–practice transfer. Students can choose two thematic profile specializations from Mechatronik, Kommunikationstechnik, Digitalisierung, Nachhaltige Energietechnik, Elektromobilität und Autonomes Fahren, and Elektronik. The module selection supports tailoring the study schedule and content to work routines.

The programme is for electrical engineers and mechatronics graduates with a first university degree, with at least one year of experience in electrical engineering, who want to deepen their knowledge in an applied way. It also accepts applicants from other fields with practical background who have at least one year of experience in electrical engineering and want to specialize in electrical engineering.
