Master's in Wirtschaftsinformatik
Introduction
Wirtschaftsinformatik is a Masters program taught at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Center for Advanced Studies (CAS), Germany. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1–2 years) options.
The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) offers the Master Wirtschaftsinformatik. The programme lets you build your study plan from over 50 modules, using Pflichtmodulen and a large choice of Wahlmodulen across three pillars: Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Informatik, and Wirtschaftsinformatik. It covers topics including Datenanalyse, Prozessmanagement, and IT-Strategie, with focus options such as Business Process Management, Data Science, Enterprise Software Engineering, Information Security Management, and IT Consulting, Management & Leadership.
The master is dual and connects academic theory with berufliche Praxis. You choose your modules before the start and can adjust your selection at the start of each semester. Your studies are designed to be berufsbegleitend, and your seminar and project work can address challenges from your workday. DHBW CAS uses multiple DHBW locations and also offers (parts of) Lehrveranstaltungen online or in virtual presence; examination locations can be selected, including for modules with Klausur.
The programme is aimed at students who already have a Bachelor from DHBW or a HAW, or who are Seiteneinsteiger*in from BWL working in IT, or who have a degree in Informatik or Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen to deepen Wirtschaftsinformatik knowledge, or who want to enter directly after earning their Bachelor through a Zertifikatsprogramm. DHBW CAS highlights that graduates can deepen Business Process Management or Data Science, with study focuses “almost completely” in Mannheim for those from the Mannheim region.
