Bachelor's in Bauingenieurwesen

Bauingenieurwesen is a Bachelor program taught at Hafencity Universität Hamburg, Germany. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Bachelor program Bauingenieurwesen at HafenCity Universität Hamburg is designed to provide knowledge and methods for planning, execution, maintenance, and management of building works. Students study areas needed for Hoch- und Ingenieurbau, Verkehrs- und Wasserwesen, and Siedlungswasserwirtschaft. The program also covers technical, operational, economic, and ecological requirements, plus the legal framework for construction projects.

HafenCity Universität Hamburg sets a Regelstudienzeit of six Semestern. The program is planned as a Theoriestudium at module level with project work. Teaching and learning include seminars, lectures, exercises, Laborpraktika, Studienprojekte, and Exkursionen. Graduation tasks are supported through close cooperation with Baufirmen and Ingenieurbüros, including thesis work with praxisnahen Aufgabenstellungen.

The program aims to prepare graduates for work as a beratender Ingenieur im Bauwesen, as a Tragwerks-, Verkehrs-, Infrastruktur- und Anlagenplaner, and as a Kostenkalkulator, Konstrukteur, and Bauleiter. HafenCity Universität Hamburg also describes opportunities for study stays abroad and for preparing final theses abroad through contacts with foreign universities and construction companies, with additional financial support via the Professor Dr. Egon Peter Stiftung.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bauingenieurwesen at Hafencity Universität Hamburg for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Hafencity Universität Hamburg as pre-requiste for admission in Bauingenieurwesen.
