Introduction

Angewandte Forschung und Entwicklung in den Ingenieurwissenschaften (M.Sc.) is a Masters program taught at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Intake: Winter- & Sommersemester. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 semesters) options.

Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences offers the Master of Science “Angewandte Forschung und Entwicklung in den Ingenieurwissenschaften”. Students work on challenging engineering tasks from current research and development projects. The programme connects technical breadth with targeted depth and supports individual subject focuses across areas including Chemieingenieurwesen, Elektro- und Informationstechnik, Energie- und Gebäudetechnologie, Holztechnik, Informatik, Kunststofftechnik, Maschinenbau, Mechatronik, Medizintechnik, and Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen.

The programme is full-time and structured as project-oriented study. In the first two semesters, students work on research and development questions from TH Rosenheim projects, then complete their master’s thesis in one of the laboratories.

The study model includes two project works and the master’s thesis, plus mandatory teaching of 8 Credit Points and 28 Credit Points from freely selectable modules. Projects are integrated into lab research activities and supervised by professor*innen and scientific staff, with support from the module “Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten”.

Students take lectures and examinations largely in English, and the programme is closely linked with the Masterstudiengang Ingenieurwissenschaften, creating an international study setting.
