Bachelor's in Germanistik

Germanistik is a Bachelor program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Wintersemester. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 semesters) options.

Germanistik at Universität Erfurt is a Bachelor of Arts focused on the German language and German-language literature. Students study German with scientific methods and explore how language is structured, changes, and is used in different contexts. They also analyze and interpret German-language texts from different eras and genres, placing them in cultural contexts through literature studies.

The programme is structured as a two-subject Bachelor with a main subject and a minor subject. The main subject includes an Orientierungsphase (first two semesters) and a Qualifizierungsphase (three to six semesters), ending with an Abschlussmodul with a Bachelor-Arbeit. The minor subject also follows an Orientierungsphase and a Qualifizierungsphase with required modules and one elective module.

The minimum requirements for admission in Germanistik at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universität Erfurt.
