Bachelor's in Scienze Biologiche
Introduction
Scienze Biologiche is a Bachelor program taught at Viterbo State University, Italy. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (class L-13) at Viterbo State University is designed to give students a strong foundation across life-science disciplines. The program aims to build progressive knowledge to help students understand biological phenomena with increasing complexity, supported by tools in mathematics, physics, and chemistry for theoretical and experimental study of biology.
Students study biological phenomena at molecular, cellular, and tissue levels, and also learn theoretical and experimental approaches for complex biological organization, including organisms, species, and their relationships with the environment. The course also covers theoretical and experimental approaches to adaptive mechanisms that support the maintenance and evolution of cells, organisms, and species. Teaching is delivered over 3 years, at Campus Riello Viterbo, in the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences, with Italian as the course language.
Admission uses a non-selective entrance test. The entrance test evaluates initial preparation in basic subjects (Mathematics and Chemistry), identifies gaps, and directs students to specific teaching support. Graduates can pursue professional and technical activities in public and private labs as biologists, biomedical lab technicians, and roles in environmental control and management, as well as food product analysis. After passing the state exam, graduates may register in the Biologists Register, section B, as a Junior Biologist.
Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Scienze Biologiche at Viterbo State University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Viterbo State University.
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Viterbo State University as pre-requiste for admission in Scienze Biologiche.
Note: Please check the university website in the link below.
- Admission: Test d’ingresso non selettivo
For the “Semestre filtro Medicina,” successful completion of all exams leads to recognition of the corresponding CFU and exemption from the entrance test. If no filter-semester exams are passed, the entrance test is required. If only part of the filter-semester exams are passed, the corresponding CFU are recognized and the entrance test is required.
The entrance test is not selective and does not block enrollment. It assesses initial preparation in Mathematics and Chemistry, identifies any gaps, and guides students to specific teaching support activities made available by the degree program.
