Bachelor of Cyber Security

Bachelor of Cyber Security is a Bachelor program taught at Brickfields Asia College, Malaysia. Intake: February, May, & September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 Years) options.

The Bachelor of Cyber Security (Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber Security)) with Honours at Brickfields Asia College focuses on cybersecurity concepts and technical skills. Modules include Cybersecurity Essentials, Introduction to Cybersecurity Tools & Cyberattacks, Network & Data Communication, Computer Networks & Network Security, Digital security topics such as Data Security, and advanced areas like Incident Handling & Network Security, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Cybersecurity Breach Response. Honours includes Final Year Project 1 and Final Year Project 2.

The programme is full-time with intakes in February, May, and September. Assessments combine coursework and exams, with coursework at 40% of evaluation, final examinations at 30%, and practical assessments & labs at 30%. Practical components include hands-on exercises, lab work, cyber simulations, and practical demonstrations in areas such as network security, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. Industrial Training is also included.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Cyber Security at Brickfields Asia College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Brickfields Asia College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Brickfields Asia College as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Cyber Security.

You qualify with ANY of the following:

• STPM: Min Grade C in TWO subjects; OR
• STAM: Min Jayyid in TWO subjects; OR
• Matriculation/Foundation: Min CGPA 2.00; OR
• Diploma (Non-Computing): CGPA 2.75 (2.50-2.74 with rigorous assessment); OR
• Diploma in Computing (MQF Level 4): Min CGPA 2.50 (2.00-2.49 with assessment); OR
• DKM / DVM / DLKM in Computing: Min CGPA 2.50

AND

• A credit in Mathematics (SPM) or equivalent (or reinforcement Mathematics required in first semester)

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government are accepted.

MUET Band 3.5, or

Equivalent to CEFR High B1

Students who do not meet the requirement must take English proficiency courses.
