MSC and Phd in Dietetics 2

MSC and Phd in Dietetics 2 is a PhD program taught at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

This programme offers a Master of Health Science with a specialization in Dietetics and a Doctor of Philosophy with a specialization in Dietetics. Students work in focused research areas including Musculoskeletal Health, Hospital/Institution Food Service, Wellness and Sports Nutrition, Diet Optimization Modelling, Dietary Intervention for Obesity, Functional Bowel Disorder, Nutritional Status for Specific Groups, and Geriatric Nutrition.

Students receive close supervision from internationally known research faculty members in these focused areas. Research grant support varies from time to time. Research activities in these areas are funded by national agencies such as the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MOSTI), the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Higher Education, as well as industry funds from Petronas, Sime Darby, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Malaysian Palm Oil Council, Kewpie (Japan) Corporation, and Abunda Corporation.

The minimum requirements for admission in MSC and Phd in Dietetics 2 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in MSC and Phd in Dietetics 2.

Master of Health Science with specialization in Dietetics

• Bachelor Degree in related field with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from any Institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.

Doctor of Philosophy with specialization in Dietetics

• Master Degree in related field from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to the Master Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.

International applicant should get a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL or Band 5.5 for IELTS.
