MSC and Phd in Hearing and Speech 2

MSC and Phd in Hearing and Speech 2 is a PhD program taught at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

At Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, the Master of Health Science with specialization in Hearing and Speech and the Doctor of Philosophy with specialization in Hearing and Speech focus on research in audiology and speech-language pathology. Students are closely supervised while conducting research in specific areas across both fields.

Audiology areas include auditory perception and intervention, outcomes of hearing amplification and cochlear implantation, neurophysiological aspects of auditory and vestibular disorders, tinnitus and hyperacusis, vestibular assessment, management and rehabilitation in children and adults, aural rehabilitation, cultural adaptation of evaluation tools or outcome measures, education and service provision in audiology, neonatal hearing screening, and noise induced hearing loss.

Speech-language pathology areas include speech and language development, articulation and phonology, voice and resonance, fluency disorders, swallowing and feeding, acquired speech and language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, telepractice, aural rehabilitation, community-based rehabilitation, and education and service provision in speech-language pathology.

• Students are closely supervised to conduct research in specific areas in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

The minimum requirements for admission in MSC and Phd in Hearing and Speech 2 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in MSC and Phd in Hearing and Speech 2.

Master of Health Science with specialization in Hearing and Speech

• Bachelor Degree in related field with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from any Institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.
• International applicant should get a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL or Band 5.5 for IELTS.

Doctor of Philosophy with specialization in Hearing and Speech

• Master Degree in related field from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualification; equivalent to the Master Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.
• International applicant should get a minimum score of 550 for TOEFL or Band 5.5 for IELTS.
