Introduction

MA Mathematics at EPFL (EDMA – Mathematics) is a doctoral program that supports mathematical research across pure and applied areas. Research topics include algebra, analysis, geometry, probability, and topology, as well as applied work such as numerical analysis, optimization, statistics, and data science. As a doctoral student in EDMA, you join an environment with thesis directors and faculty members, including recipients of the Fields Medal. The program includes advanced courses and training for doctoral candidates, with close mentorship.
