Bachelor's in Systems Engineering
Introduction
Systems Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Antioch University - Seattle, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Systems Engineering develops and sustains complex defense systems for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. Systems engineers use interdisciplinary engineering, scientific, and management principles to define requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and integrate system elements. The program applies systems thinking to manage complexity, reduce uncertainty through evaluation of design alternatives, risks, and tradeoffs, and optimize system performance, cost, schedule, and supportability across the full lifecycle.
Cadets in the Systems Engineering major specialize in a chosen discipline engineering area selected among courses from Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Cadets collaborate with other engineering majors on senior capstone design projects with U.S. Air Force, government, and industry partners to solve real-world engineering and operational problems. The curriculum also includes sample systems engineering courses such as Introduction to Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Project Engineering.
