Bachelor's in Biology

Biology is a Bachelor program taught at Assumption College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Biology undergraduate program at Assumption College includes study of life through a mix of math, chemistry, physics, and biology courses. Students can follow a major in Biology leading to a B.S. or a B.A., and they choose biology coursework through electives, seminars, internships, and student-faculty research. The curriculum is rooted in the Foundations Program, aiming to build a foundation in the Catholic liberal arts while developing scientific thinking.

Teaching combines lectures and laboratory work. Lectures encourage students to synthesize classical and contemporary ideas in biology, while laboratory work supports hands-on experience with observing, asking questions, testing hypotheses, analyzing results, and presenting conclusions orally and in writing. Biology students also have access to the Testa Science Center and may receive academic credit for up to two biology internships.
