Introduction

Biology, A.S. is a Diploma program taught at Barry University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Associate of Science in Biology provides foundational knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience for entry-level laboratory and technical roles and for transfer into a bachelor’s degree program. Coursework focuses on applying biological principles to real-world systems and challenges, conducting laboratory experiments and following scientific protocols, analyzing and interpreting biological data, understanding relationships between organisms and their environments, and communicating scientific concepts clearly and effectively.

The program offers learning options in 100% online, face-to-face, and hybrid formats. All formats provide the same level of in-depth study, with practical skill building alongside academic study. The program is structured as a stackable credential: it can be completed as a standalone A.S. and also serves as a first step toward the B.S. in Biology through Dual-Credit ADVANTAGE.

Students complete 20 courses for 62 total credits. Tuition is based on cost per credit, and students only pay for the courses needed to complete the Biology degree. Classes start every 8 weeks, with learning available in traditional classroom locations and online.
