Introduction

Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BS) is a Bachelor program taught at Capitol Technology University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering Technology prepares students for careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, production systems, and digital manufacturing environments. The program combines applied engineering principles with hands-on technical experience and focuses on smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies. Students study advanced manufacturing processes, production system operations, and CNC programming and computer-controlled manufacturing systems.

Learning includes automation, robotics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), plus quality control and statistical process control techniques. Students also work with industrial networking and smart manufacturing systems, operations research and data-driven manufacturing optimization, and digital manufacturing technologies such as digital twins and intelligent systems. Applied problem-solving happens through laboratory experiences and manufacturing projects, with a senior capstone design in manufacturing and automation under technical, economic, and operational constraints.
