Master in Health Services Administration (MHA)
Introduction
Master in Health Services Administration (MHA) is a Masters program taught at Catholic University of America, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (12 months) options.
The Master in Health Services Administration (MHA) prepares students to advance as healthcare administrators. The curriculum focuses on management and organization, public policy and regulations, business operations, ethical and legal issues, and communication and marketing. Students use their current work environments as case study contexts for class learning, connecting course materials to real situations.
All courses are 6-weeks long. Blended courses meet together in weeks 1, 3, and 5 for an intensive session, with the remaining sessions online. The online and blended curriculum is the same, and the program is completed in one intensive session per week, online or on-campus. The MHA can be completed in 12 months.
This degree prepares students to advance from clinical or administrative roles to management positions in health care service organizations. With an MHA, students can also be set up to teach in their field, and graduates are prepared for management roles such as Clinical Director, Hospital Services Manager, Program Manager, and Medical Records Manager.
