B.A. in Culinary Management
Introduction
B.A. in Culinary Management is a Bachelor program taught at Catholic University of America, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The B.A. in Culinary Management at Kendall College (National Louis University) combines culinary training with business and general education studies. Students learn cooking techniques through hands-on experience in kitchen classrooms and on-campus restaurants during the first part of the program. The curriculum also covers hospitality and business skills, including strategies for planning, building, promoting, and running a food business.
During the first part of the degree, students prepare for a three-month internship in fine-dining kitchens and a variety of foodservice operations. The program includes a 300-hour internship at a Chicago restaurant under the supervision of an experienced mentor, with regular feedback. In later years, students choose between three career concentrations and also study topics such as change management, leadership, and financial management awareness.
