Introduction

Coaching and Mentoring Certificate is a program taught at Catholic University of America, USA. Intake: summer, fall, or winter term (any term may be used to start). The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Coaching and Mentoring Certificate is designed for PK-12 teachers who want to strengthen mentoring and coaching abilities. The program explores best practices in mentoring and coaching and focuses on the National Teacher Leader Standards from the National Network of State Teachers of the Year. It supports instructional leadership, teacher development, school improvement, and student achievement.

The certificate uses fully online learning and includes virtual community sessions, group discussions, practice coaching cycles, case studies, guided practice, feedback, and self-reflection. It is a three-course certificate worth eight semester hours (8 SH). Courses are LDR 511, LDR 523, and LDR 531, and you may take them together or individually.

After you complete your final course, you receive a certificate to demonstrate professional qualification, and the credit appears on your NLU transcript. The certificate can support school-level leadership and can be applied toward NLU endorsement and degree programs through graduate course credit you earn from the certificate courses.
