Mathematics
Introduction
Mathematics is a program taught at Covenant College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Mathematics at Covenant College prepares students for service in God’s Kingdom through rigorous study of branches of mathematics, including calculus, differential equations, linear and abstract algebra, real analysis, probability, and geometry. Students are encouraged to relate course content to their faith, and to connect convictions to how they perceive and practice math. The program emphasizes a conceptual and quantitative understanding for work in a number-driven society.
The mathematics major includes communication and community through presentations and writing assignments that build spoken and written communication about math. It also supports students in scientific fields such as pre-engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology by providing foundational concepts. Students complete guided capstone requirements and have access to a fully-staffed math center, where they can work on homework, meet with tutors, and become tutors for other students.
