Introduction

Theatre is a program taught at Covenant College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Theatre programme at Covenant College lets students study theatre as a minor or as an interdisciplinary studies concentration. If theatre is a student’s primary concentration, they may complete a theatre capstone such as performing, directing, writing, or designing. The programme also focuses on theatre as both informed audience engagement and godly-wise arts practice, with critical and production skills and Christian ethical problem-solving.

Delivery includes three mainstage productions a year, typically including a fall play, a spring musical, and a spring play, with productions open to all students. Students also take example theatre courses such as Theatre Seminar I–III, Stagecrafts, Acting I–II, Directing, Theatre History I–II, Dramatic Arts and Christian Thought I–II, Screenwriting, and Accents & Dialects. Capstone projects include acting, stage management, directing, writing original scripts, making short films, producing play festivals, technical direction, costume design, and leading productions.
