Chemistry
Introduction
Chemistry is a program taught at Davidson College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Chemistry Major at Davidson College uses a flexible curriculum built around Chemistry divisions. Students complete five foundation courses at the 200-level with labs that cover analytical, biological, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. They then choose five in-depth courses at the 300- and 400-level, which may focus within one division or span multiple divisions.
All foundation courses require CHE 115 or an AP equivalent. First-year course planning considers credit for CHE 115 through AP (score 4 or 5) or IB (score 6 or 7), or enrolling in CHE 115 if high school chemistry is completed without AP/IB credit. The program also includes math and physics preparation, with math fulfilled by credit for MAT 113 or MAT 140, and honors options that include CHE 498 Thesis Research and a colloquium presentation.
