Prelaw
Introduction
Prelaw is a program taught at Davidson College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Prelaw at Davidson College is a program built around resources, advising, and opportunities that are open to students in every academic discipline. Students prepare for law school through skills in critical thinking, writing, and analytical work. While the Political Science Department offers focused law courses, students across the humanities and sciences study how legal systems affect current social and economic issues.
Prelaw support connects advising and faculty mentorship with structured preparation. Davidson offers targeted events that cover law school admission panels, alumni connections across legal fields, and law firm recruiting events. The program also supports hands-on experience through internships, undergraduate research, and study abroad opportunities. Students receive application guidance for resumes and personal statements, plus preparation for law school admission.
The program supports both current students and alumni through advising and mentorship linked to the path from initial career exploration through final law school applications. Students are encouraged to choose an undergraduate course of study that fits their interests, alongside campus involvement through law-related clubs and activities that matter to them.
