Bachelor's in Exercise Science

Exercise Science is a Bachelor program taught at Defiance College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Exercise Science major at Defiance College includes four concentration areas: Fitness, Strength, and Conditioning; Pre-Athletic Training; Pre-Occupational Therapy; and Pre-Physical Therapy. Students study exercise science with a focus that matches their intended path in areas such as fitness, athletic performance, injury prevention, and therapy-related graduate programs.

Each concentration includes specific semester hour requirements. Required experiential learning opportunities include field experience and internship, which supplement the exercise science courses with hands-on experiences and skills. The Fitness, Strength, and Conditioning concentration is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE), and graduation from a CASCE-accredited program is described as fulfilling educational requirements for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential.
