Bachelor's in Communication Studies

Communication Studies at Defiance College teaches students to conceptualize and analyze mediated communication in socio-cultural, aesthetic, civic, and economic terms. Students also develop practical skills related to different modes of communication and forms of media.

The program includes learning outcomes focused on applying concepts in public discourse, applying communication theories to real-world situations through comparison, delineation, and evaluation, and evaluating research methods to address problems in the field. It also builds students’ ability to analyze mediated communication across the specified social and cultural categories.

The minimum requirements for admission in Communication Studies at Defiance College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Defiance College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Defiance College as pre-requiste for admission in Communication Studies.
