Bachelor's in Accounting
Introduction
Accounting is a Bachelor program taught at Defiance College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Accounting major is a professional program built to give students a foundation in the functional aspects of business and specialized coursework in accounting. Students can also choose a concentration in forensic accounting. The program supports a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting and a Master’s degree in business administration, designed to help students reach the necessary minimum 150 credit hours to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
Classes use faculty shared experience from over 70 combined years of working in accounting. The program lists major learning outcomes focused on functional concepts in accounting, marketing, finance, and management; evaluation of legal, social, and economic environments of business; descriptions of the global environment of business; and ethical obligations and responsibilities. Students also apply decision-support tools and develop effective oral and written professional communication.
Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Accounting at Defiance College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Defiance College.
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Defiance College as pre-requiste for admission in Accounting.
