Introduction

Computer Science is a Bachelor program taught at Florida Keys Community College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Computer Science leads to a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS). More than half of the credits needed for the degree are in Computer Science through five streams: Comprehensive, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, and Software Engineering. First-year required courses include Introduction to Computer Science I and II, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra I for Mathematical Sciences, Calculus I for Mathematical Sciences, and Calculus II for Mathematical Sciences.

The program offers a co-op option with paid work terms. Co-op students take the same required courses and have access to the same electives as the non-co-op version, plus two additional co-op stream courses. Students gain two or three full semesters (8 or 12 months) of paid, relevant work experience, and they can complete the program in the same number of years as students in the non-co-op version.
