Introduction
Master of Arts in Christian Spiritual Formation & Leadership is a Masters program taught at Friends University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Master of Arts in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership (MACSFL) at Friends University is designed as a personal growth, academic, and professional program for lay people and people in professional ministry. Students receive tools and resources for developing a framework for spiritual formation while building a stronger theological foundation. The program focuses on transformation teaching, soul training exercises, and group processing, supporting deeper spiritual formation and a Christ-centered, with-God life.
The curriculum is an intensive, integrative, 35-credit program with a hybrid design: 19 credits online and 16 credits via residency. It is delivered through cohort groups that progress through degree requirements sequentially, including online coursework, retreats, seminars, and workshops. Students participate in on-site retreats, small groups, conference events, and online discussion forums, and each student accesses a spiritual director during residency and on an ongoing basis throughout the program.
