Introduction

Dual Degree in Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Goucher College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (Five years total (3 years at Goucher College and two years a) options.

The Dual Degree in Engineering is a 3+2 program with Goucher College and Columbia University. Over the first three years at Goucher, students complete Goucher degree requirements, typically in a science major such as engineering science, and they take math, programming, and sciences prerequisites. At Columbia, students complete an engineering degree through the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, earning a B.S. in engineering.

Students transfer to Columbia during their junior year after completing required science and mathematics foundational courses and pre-engineering courses for their chosen engineering major. The program culminates in both degrees being awarded at the end of the fifth year, when all requirements for each degree have been fulfilled. A 4+2 option is also possible, transferring after four years at Goucher.

Admission to complete the additional two years at Columbia is likely, though not guaranteed, for students who meet academic requirements, complete specified prerequisite coursework, submit three recommendation letters, and demonstrate proficiency in English. Participants are considered Goucher students during the first three years and Columbia students during the last two.
