Introduction

Sport Studies at Huntingdon College includes concentrations in Health Promotion and Sport Management. In Health Promotion, you study the scientific and philosophical bases of kinesiological concepts and connect them to health promotion and primary prevention of disease. You also build communication and critical thinking skills, learn legal principles and ethical behaviors for sport and exercise professionals, and practice evaluating and assessing health promotion behavior among diverse populations and settings.
Sport Studies also supports hands-on learning through Senior Capstone research, presentations, and internships. The Sport Studies curriculum links to field experience through various settings throughout the River Region. The Sport Management concentration focuses on planning, organizing, directing, controlling, budgeting, and evaluating in sport- and physical-activity-related organizations, including college and professional sports, sports marketing and communication firms, and community recreation programs.
Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Sport Studies at Huntingdon College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
