Introduction

Nursing is a program taught at Lake Region State College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Nursing program at Lake Region State College combines classroom instruction with supervised clinical experience to develop knowledge and skills for quality patient care. Clinical experiences take place in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare environments. Students can pursue a Practical Nurse (LPN) Certificate or an Associate Degree Nurse (RN) pathway.

The Practical Nurse Certificate includes classroom instruction and supervised clinical experiences across multiple healthcare settings. The Associate Degree Nurse (RN) curriculum prepares students through coursework and clinical experiences focused on patient care, critical thinking, and professional nursing skills, including adult health, maternal-child, community, and psychosocial nursing.

Admission, progression, and eligibility are tied to licensure. North Dakota requires program graduates to pass a licensing exam before practicing. LPN graduates are eligible for NCLEX-PN, while Associate Degree Nurse graduates must pass NCLEX-RN and meet ATI Comprehensive Predictor standards.
