The B.A. in Anthropology and Education with Endorsements in P-3 prepares students for careers in early childhood education while providing a broad understanding of the scientific study of humanity. Students explore cultural, biological, and archaeology within anthropology. They also learn how to meet the needs of young children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and young children with disabilities.

Learning includes real-time experiences inside the classroom, supported by supervised clinical experience that includes 100 hours in the classroom. Students can work in different teaching environments such as a resource room, a self-contained setting, or a general education inclusive classroom. The curriculum includes core courses in cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and education foundations, plus early childhood education and classroom management.

Students enter a range of teaching environments through partnerships with local school and district groups. Undergraduate research and internships include classroom immersion as early as sophomore year, along with options such as study abroad, clinical component courses, fieldwork for clinical experience and component, clinical practice, substitute teaching credentials, and collaborative P-12 school partnerships.
