Computer Science at Midwestern State University prepares students to design, problem-solve, and adapt through study that connects computing with areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software engineering. Graduate options include an accelerated BS/MS pathway and an MS in Computer Science with a 15 graduate hour core and three completion tracks: a paper option, a non-paper option, and a practical training option.

A Computer Science degree prepares students for careers in research, development, entrepreneurship, industry, or government. Roles listed include software developer, data scientist/analyst, systems analyst, web developer, network administrator, cybersecurity analyst, mobile app developer, machine learning engineer, academic researcher, and entrepreneur. Students can also join the ACM chapter and Selene Research, including participation in NASA design challenge activities described for student teams.

The minimum requirements for admission in Computer Science at Midwestern State University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
