Bachelor's in Economics
Introduction
Economics is a Bachelor program taught at Midwestern State University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Economics program focuses on how governments, businesses, and individuals make decisions about allocating resources. It covers how goods and services are produced, distributed, and consumed, and how these decisions affect society and business. Students study the role of economic policies and practical economic applications.
Economics training includes research, data collection and analysis, monitoring economic trends, and developing forecasts. The program also highlights research topics such as energy costs, inflation, interest rates, imports, and employment levels. The Dillard College of Business Administration has fully accredited business programs through AACSB International, and low student–faculty ratios support individual student attention.
For careers, economists work in public and private sectors. Government economists may assess economic conditions and estimate effects of legislation or public policy, including work in agriculture, labor, commerce, or quantitative analysis. Economists also work in research, testing, and consulting firms, and an economics background can support graduate study in business and law school.
