Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
Introduction
Mechanical Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Midwestern State University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Mechanical Engineering program prepares students to solve problems, work in teams, and become self-learners. Students study concepts of mechanics and heat to design and build machines, devices, and systems, including engines and other complex systems. The program also emphasizes strong mathematical knowledge and a rigorous engineering curriculum.
Students build a foundation through pre-engineering courses at the start of the program, including two semesters of calculus and physics and three introductory engineering courses. Later, students declare mechanical engineering and take theoretical courses and upper-level mathematics courses. The program then moves into intensive lab courses, followed by applications and practical experience, culminating in a two-semester senior design experience.
