Introduction

Plumbing Technology is a Diploma program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

Plumbing Technology is a diploma program designed for apprentice plumbers and students entering the plumbing industry. Students study residential and commercial plumbing installation practices and standards. The program emphasizes the Minnesota Plumbing Code and the North Dakota Plumbing Code, with instruction that includes proper, safe installation techniques for plumbing systems, fixtures, and faucets; use of common plumbing tools, materials, and fittings; and analysis of blueprints and isometric drawings.

Learning is delivered through hands-on plumbing training and code-focused coursework, including classes such as Plumbing Trade Tools and Plumbing Lab I. An internship in the field is included for real-world relevance. The program is for students seeking work-ready skills, professional ethics, and communications and other soft skills, and it supports workforce connections through regional business and industry partners.
